Feeling sketchy Sketch #155

It's time for a new sketch at Feeling Sketchy.
Today I have made a wedding card. One at work asked if I could make one, and I thougt this sketch could work.

Here it is:

Here is the sketch, as usually made by Michelle van Wyk:

Our sponsor this time is Polka doodles.

Here are some closeups of my card.
First the flowercluster.

The text stamp is from KaBoks and says "Congratulations on the wedding day" in norwegian.

Papers (from Kaiser craft) and the birdstamp (from BoBunny) I got in a kit from Swirlydoos some time ago.

A card and a layout for Let's Scrap

Last week I had a card for the weekly sketch at Let's Scrap, sketch 8-20-14.
It's a birthdaycard and I have used some old patterned papers.

The frame is a diecut which I have embossed with different embossingpowders.

For the challenge #192 I made this layout for inspiration. The challenge is a bingochart and I chose to use arrows, handwritten journaling, stamps and twine. It's also a must to use one of the tutorials from the forum, and I choose to make my own twine. The sketch to use is 3-3-10.

Here is the twine, both a piece I've bought and some homemade.

For the layers and texture I have used some stensils and different painting and some stamping.

In the upper right corner I put a large stamped arrow pointing at the photo.

This challenge is going on until next Thursday (4. september), so why not jump over to Let's Scrap and join in?

These two projects are also my two last projects for Let's Scrap as a DT. This term is over in just a few days, and I'm saying thanks for a great time.

A new sketch at Let's Scrap

This weeks sketch at Let's Scrap have both large and small photos and lot of space for journaling:

I still have a lot of photos from our trip to Rome and this time I used some photos taken in the church San Clemente. I love this church and always enjoy coming back. The most interesting parts are not seen on these photos, since you are not allowed to take photos downstairs. But under the church of today you can see the remainings of an older church and under it, there is some ruins from earlier times. This I tell about in the journaling.

Here are some closeups. First of the title. The letters are colored with gelatos (as the circle under it) and a bit of Lumin'Arte silks paint (golden).

At the bottom I have used lots of Prima Say it in Crystals:

The long journaling block:

Let's Scrap 7-9-14

It's Wednesday and a new sketch is up at Let's Scrap.

I'm still working through my photos from a trip to Rome some years ago and this week I have some photos taken at Trajans market. Who said that a modern shoppingsenter with over 100 shops is something the last century?
Trajans market hosted about 150 different shops and offices!

For this page I have used stuff from the June kit from Swirlydoos together with some craft paper and some alphachipboard and alphastickers from my stash.

I've used two stencils from Prima, one with distress ink on the background and the other up front with some paint.

As usually I had to add some handwritten journaling, telling about the place.

Sketch 6-25-14 at Let's Scrap

A new sketch is up at Let's Scrap.
This time it's this twopage sketch:

I first thought about making a collage of photos for the big photo on the left side. But when I looked through my photos I decided to put two and two photos together for two of the photos on the right side and use a big photo on the left side.
The photos are from Colosseum in Rome and my take on the sketch is this:

Most papers and embellishments are from the June kit from Swirlydoos.

The chipboard I found a year or two ago and have had laying around for these photos. I used some gesso on it and two colors of embossingpowder (from Lindys Stamp Gang) and finished with rubbing some distress ink on it.

I used som wood veneer and in the kit we also got this awesome rank with small bows.

Let's Scrap sketch 6-11-14

A new sketch is up at Let's Scrap:

I have used photos from St. Peters Basilica in Rome. I wanted to have information about the basilica on the page and near the photos, so I used a lot of textstrips for my journaling.

I used the italian name in the title.

I've used stamps, stensils, inks, gesso and mist ong the background.

On this layout there is not much embellishments, just a single flower and some bling.

I've got all the patterned papers and embellishments in kits from Swirlydoos.

Let's Scrap sketch 5-28-14

A new sketch is revealed at Let's Scrap. This week it's a double pager with no less than five big laying photos. This was perfect for some of my photos from our trip to Rome.

Here is the sketch:

I didn't have papers that worked for a layering, so I used a stensil to make the layer under the photos. Instead of the tags I used a border chipboard from Dusty Attic.

I used a piece of kraft cardstock to back the title and stamped randomly on it and put some paint on the edges.

I wanted both a photo and a long journaling so I combined that on the left side. That piece is prepared like the piece above.

Let's Scrap sketch 5-14-14

Yesterday it was time for a new sketch reveal at Let's Scrap.

It was this lovely sketch:

I had some photos in my head when I should find photos for this. But when I started to look for those I found these and thought they would work great. Working on an album from a trip to Rome in 2008, and here are photos from the visit to Pantheon:

The papers are from the March kit from Swirlydoos. I have used mostly cardstock here, and just some bits from two patterned papers.

Embellished with some Prima wood venier and some bling.

I have misted the top cardstock with two different colors and painted the edges.

I thought the circles in the sketch where perfect for the photos of the ceiling with the whole.

Why not come over and join us. We are celebrating NSD the whole month with extra challenges, so there are alot going on.

NSD #3 Challenge at Let's Scrap

Yesterday I loaded up a new Challenge at Let's Scrap.
We are celebrating NSD (National Scrapbook Day) a whole month and the gallery are already flowing over with beautiful projects. Our members and DT are so creative these days.

My challenge is to use edge punches or/and to tear the paper.

For inspiration I made this page:

I have used three edge punches on this layout and I did tear some of the edges too. The patterned papers I've used are from an old kit from Swirlydoos and match each other very well.

I also made a rosette using edge punch:

Here are the birdcage and the bird I used in one of the corners, they are painted randomly with some gesso and acrylic silks.

The NSD challenges will go through the whole month, so you have until May 31, to participate.
